To Vilsandi on Foot

A unique opportunity to visit Vilsandi Island by foot - by walking straight through the water. 

This is a real adventure - full of exitement and unforgettable emotions - yet still affordable to all nature lovers and hikers. We leave our cars to Saaremaa, pack our backpacks, and away we go! You will meet natural lawn mowers - the sheep - and different rare plants while hiking through the water and over the islets. On Vilsaldi island we will hike to the 200-year-old light house in the westernmost point of the island. There you'll get the marvellous view to the Vaika islets - the place from where the nature protection of the Baltics started in 1910. You will have time to enjoy the view, swim (weather permitting), and listen to your guide's stories about the Nature Park and life in Vilsandi throughout the times. A number of sailors, ship-builders and tradesmen grew up on Vilsandi - once a busy island, but nowadays a peaceful corner of wilderness. A picnic lunch will be held, and we will back to our cars by the end of the day.

Price: 465eek/person (minimum sum 4650EEK, up to 10 persons)
Price includes: multilingual guide for 8 hours, picnic, souvenir.
Duration of the trip: 8-10 hours

Important:

• Good hiking shoes to walk in the water and weather proof clothing

There are tourism farms offering meals and overnight in Vilsandi.
You can take a boat back to Saaremaa.
