Sunday - Day of Heritage - Loona Manor House, Miku Forest Park, Mihkli Farm Museum

A wonderful opportunity to see the trails of our ancestors in Kihelkonna, Vilsandi National Park - from a manor house to nostagic farm museum.

This tour takes you through the history of the islanders- from pre-historical means of agriculutre and old forest practices to the 300-year old farm and  Baltic German manors. And we cannot forget Kihelkonna church - one of the biggest Estonian countryside churches with a great organ, altarpiece, and marvellous view from the top of the tower.

Your Guide welcomes you at the gate of Mihkli Farm Museum Guides tour in the museum, it may happen, that you'll see a real blacksmith at his work in 150 year old smithy's. Stop for visiting Kihelkonna Church on the way to Miku Forest Park. You'll enjoy a short walk on the forest trail discovering the treasures and history of the area. Everybody has the chance to try old forest works. A cup of tea of freshly picked herbs will be served in the summer cottage. The highlight of the programme is folk show by the local group Rukkilill (Corn Flower). 

The tour continues on foot to Loona manor - the center of Vilsandi National Park. 

Options:

1) meal, prepared on the open fire, will be served in the summer cottage in Miku Forest Park

2) good lunch of local ingredients in Restaurant Loona.
